This will help give us the depth of field effect we require for the sequence.
WEEK 5 UPDATE
This week was a real problem solving week. Whilst we had a clear concept that we were working towards there were bits of the puzzle that were yet to fall into place. Lots of open discussion as a team has occurred this week and the consultation with HD and RH after our presentation has helped us to galvanise our concept.
There were certain issues after the industrial break at the midpoint of our sequence that we had yet to resolve. We managed to brainstorm these and have come up with a solid plan that will help us establish a space with a more organic feel as the backdrop for our artificial conception. It’s all rather exciting.
MR edited “Apocalypse in 7/8” to workable format and has passed it on to Ben (our composer) to start on a final edit. MR also started work on the animatic which he then handed to ZH who expanded on this with exceptional storyboards. And whilst ZH had commenced solid work on the pre-production booklet she then handed this to MW who proceeded to realise the document in the amazing format it is now (see previous post).
BS has continued to experiment with motion and modelling and the whole project seems to be moving forward quite organically.
Moving forward, we are working on developing a dynamic sequence blending 3D animation and 2.5D in the After Effects space. ZH and MW will be working on the animatic to help identify the assets we need for the various shots whereas MR and BS will be working on modelling and assets for the sequence.
Following feedback after our presentation and storyboards we are trying to develop a dynamic sequence but we need to be mindful of our camera movements so as not to nauseate our viewers.
